Are you stressed about being stressed? Do you avoid situations and even opportunities that may cause you stress? Let's work together to identify some coping skills to manage your stress or even find new ways to look at stress. Either way, I want to help you effectively manage your response to those extra hormones surging through your body.
Is your body tired, are you experiencing sleepless nights, can't seem to concentrate, or lack interest in the things you once enjoyed? Psychotherapy allows you time and space to explore how your past thoughts and present actions can become unhealthy and ingrained. We can work together to find healthier perspectives and effective coping skills to manage difficult feelings. It is always preferred to meet face-to-face, but if you are unable to get out or just don't feel like it, I offer video counseling.
Whether you have been married for six months or 45 years, I will work with you to improve communication, intimacy, and connection through healing, validation and exploring new skills.
Gottman Couples Therapy is designed to help strengthen couples’ relationships.
Most of us don't like speaking in front of a crowd, but sometimes we experience hard to control worry, nervousness and panicky feelings in everyday situations. Why is this happening? Where is it coming from? I've had personal experience working through anxiety and I know how debilitating it can be. I want to help you to successfully manage anxiety and live life to the fullest.
Do you ever wish you could run an idea by a third party to gain an unbiased perspective? To have a sounding board who can guide you and be a valuable resource? Do you put pressure on yourself to make the "right decision" the first time? I can help you explore options, work through dilemmas, challenges, and the feelings associated with major decision making.
"You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging." Brene' Brown
If you are struggling, please feel free to call and schedule a time for a 15 meet and greet. We may be able to work together and explore new skills, insights and solutions to help you effectively manage life difficulties.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique approach to psychotherapy. It is an unique therapy because the ART Therapist guides you to replace negative images in your mind, that cause Post-Traumatic Stress symptoms, with positive images. This technique is done quickly, and most often you will see results within one session! After replacing negative images with positive images, the triggers, intrusive thoughts, and nightmares will stop.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is recognized as an evidenced-based modality by the Society of Clinical Psychology, Div. 12 of the American Psychological Association (APA).
ART is also unique in that it combines the power of eye movements allowing voluntary changes in your mind with well-established therapies: Gestalt,
Psychodynamic Therapy
Guided Imagery
ART's protocol of eye movements, along with other ART enhancements, prove faster and effective results.
The meditative eye movements are calming and are shown to produce theta waves in the brain which are connected to creativity, intuition, and daydreaming.
One of the special aspects of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is that you don't need to talk to the therapist about any details of your trauma. The ART procedure and your creativity keeps you in control of the process, while the ART Therapist is a helpful guide. This makes the therapy easier for you and therapist.
Although some traumatic experiences can be very painful to visualize, you will move rapidly beyond the "stuck places" in your past experiences and make positive changes. ART sessions are calming and very often joyful, especially at the end.
